Thank you 2021 (A Year In Review)
As part of my year-end habit, I would like to reflect on how my last year went by. This is to gauge if I had spent a year worth of my life wisely— if I did spent them on things that matter most.
I may slow down on some areas of my responsibility, but it doesn’t mean that my creativity is halted. I’m just taking life slowly, and truly living my life — there’s no need to rush. Everything in life has its time.
What I’m grateful for this year:
- More funds for travel and investment (due to low house rent)
- Being able to purchase a parcel of land in a prime subdivision at half the price vs current market value (Thanks to my real estate savvy friend!)
- Having cryptocurrency savings
- Heartaches and lessons learned
- Having a friend to rely on in times of trouble
- Receiving year-end bonuses
- Numerous quality time spent with my friend, and future business partner (beach time, and road trips)
- Having enough food always
- Having stray cats in the house
- Being able to spend time with my favorite stray cat before she died
- Having extra time to play NFT games (Axie Infinity, and Gods Unchained)
- Having extra time to spend with family and friends
- Re-connecting with old friends
- Having a friend to guide you in life and love
- Being able to share pre-Christmas food to some children in a depressed area
- Still having a roof over our house after the strong typhoon, Odette, came by surprisingly a week before Christmas.
- Still having a clean source of water after Odette
- Having enough food for New Year’s Eve
- New Year’s Eve celebration with my future business partner, and seeing some fireworks!
- Being able to watch Squid game, and Money Heist series
- Learning more about how the brain works, and the process of true learning
- Knowing the value of commitment and what it means
What I failed to accomplish this year:
- House and lot purchase (only bought a parcel of land instead)
- Online business launch
- Self-improvement (in terms of technical knowledge)
What I have achieved this year:
- Life insurance purchase (still on 1st year)
- Prime asset purchase at 50% discount
- Cryptocurrency Investments
- Real life learnings (better understanding of the economy, and what drives the market)
- Meeting my future business partner (with similar mindset as mine)
- Future business plans (discussions and strategies)
So, if you notice, I’m on a steady pace in terms of career (didn’t do a big level-up jump yet, so I can enjoy more of life). But still I’m making progress on my future grand plans, which only my business partner and I know. I don’t want to put in too much details, as I’m looking at the bigger picture as well. (Sorry, things are confidential now).
All I can say is, life is short, and I don’t wanna waste it any further on trivial things. I’m here to live every moment of my life with my favorite people, and do the things that I love whenever I want to. Life is all about enjoying every moment of your life — whatever stage/age you are, because those moments only happen once, and that’s what make them precious. Life is a collection of precious moments, that’s why I keep adding more of those this year. How about you? How did you spend your 2021?
